The Many Types Of Bonsai Trees
There are many different types of bonsai trees to select from and as bonsais are miniaturized version of the real trees, they need to be shaped into the styles and forms that different people prefer. The beauty of the bonsai is enhanced by the styles we can shape and the container that hold it has to be in tandem with the types of bonsai trees we plant as well as the styles of the trees. Different Types Of Bonsai Trees The many types of bonsai trees have their own diverse styles and the type of styles is the cascade, semi cascade, slant, windswept, formal upright and the informal upright. To shape, train and form the bonsai tree that you desire, you can choose among the many types of bonsai trees. The formal upright style is the type where you have straight trunk and the lower branches are wide compare to the rest. As the trunk protrude upward, it gets smaller and will shape like a triangle. This style is very suitable for beginners to hone their craft and those types of bonsai trees that can be cultivated to be formal upright are the Spruce, Larch, Pine and The juniper. The Types Of Bonsai Trees Can Determine The Styles Besides the formal upright, we have the informal upright and the slant types of bonsai trees style. There are many similarities between the formal upright and the informal upright but in the case of the informal upright, the branches extends forward instead of upward. This will give the tree a motion-like impression. On the other hand, the slant style is where the trunk of the trees extends one way and the lowest branch lean the other way. It is easy to form such style and is very popular too. As for the informal upright style, the types of bonsai trees that are suitable are the Trident Maple, Beech and the Japanese maple while the slant look can be achieved on any types of bonsai trees. The cascade and the semi cascade are the other two types of bonsai trees style. Cascade style is the one with a sloping effect with the trunk being vertical and then face one way with the branches groomed to cascade or slope at a lower position than the surface of the container. The semi cascade types of bonsai trees style is almost identical to the cascade but the trunk slope progressively rather than turns to a certain way. Another types of bonsai trees style are the windswept and it looks as if it has been gushed by strong winds. It may look wild and disheveled but it is a very popular style that many people groomed. Many of these types of bonsai trees style have been in existence for a couple of centuries and still practiced widely.
